In early 2020, pre-pandemic, during my final semester at Appalachian State University, I began babyspicerack as a way to practice drawing on my iPad. Knowing that I hoped to go into social media post-grad, I wanted to practice designing things!
I shared my designs first on a site called RedBubble, but as I grew in my craft, I decided I needed to make an Instagram page, and, instead of RedBubble, open an Etsy store.
For over a year, I never defined my brand, but I continued to design things, and began selling my designs on stickers via Etsy. After feeling confident in my brand and its voice, I sat down in 2021 to make my first branding kit.
I wanted babyspicerack to be fun, funky, and colorful. Through a bright color palette, a timeless, yet bold font, and an iconic smiley logo, I brought these qualities to fruition.
